Flight and Transfers
Generally you’ll fly in to a large airport either at Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, then take a domestic flight to the small Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport at Kuantan.
Irish passport holders do not require a visa.
Malay is the official language, although English is quite commonly spoken as a second language.
Recent improvements in the bus system have meant that Kuantan is now much more accessible by public transport. Taxis are also available, although the prices are a little higher than other parts of Malaysia.
The ringgit is the official currency.
