Natural beauty and outdoor activities

Croatia’s most famous city, Dubrovnik, is the classic place to stay whilst visiting the country. The Old Town is well worth exploring, adorned with baroque buildings and cosy cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by for hours – the food scene is really booming here. A trip to the top of Mount Srd rewards you with fabulous views of the terracotta roofs and azure sea that frames the city.

Split is another city that we love the visit whilst in Croatia. The waterfront has a beautiful backdrop of forest-clad Marjan Hill and historical architecture, including the Roman ruins of Diocletian’s Palace. Amongst the quaint cobbled-stone streets you’ll find modern shops and first-class restaurants, whilst the Old Town has plenty of fun bars for you to enjoy. Just off the coast is Hvar, a sun-soaked island and famed for its quieter and more lush surroundings. Here you’ll discover decadent vineyards and great outdoor activities including canyoning. The last Croatian beauty we offer hotels at is Rovinj, a vibrant fishing port where you can integrate yourself in the characterful fisherman lifestyle and enjoy incredible sunset cruises.

  • With a scattering of beautiful islands surrounding the mainland, Croatia is one of our favourite European destinations for laidback cruises. Island-hop on board a small cruise ship and explore a variety of islets with colourful villages and pristine coastlines, including Brač, Split and Hvar. You’ll have ample opportunity to snorkel in the crystalline waters too, with plenty of marine life to spot in Croatia’s azure lagoons.
  • With such a rich history of empires, republics and kingdoms, Croatia has a multifaceted culture for you to discover. Walk through Dubrovnik’s Old Town to see the medieval defensive walls, visit Split to see the Diocletian’s Palace built by Roman Emperor Diocletian who retired there in AD 305, and experience fascinating museums including the Museum of Croatian War of Independence in Dubrovnik and the Archaeological Museum in Split. Croatia is a beautiful place adorned with Viennese mansions, Slavic churches and even Roman columns, giving you an architectural insight into its varied past.
  • Croatia is one of the best European locations for thrilling outdoor recreation. Croatia is one of the best European locations for thrilling outdoor recreation. Enjoy an exhilarating day out canyoning and tubing, or even go rock-climbing, zip lining and rafting. By the beaches you’ll find excellent snorkelling, diving and kayaking, whilst the soaring mountains offer incredible opportunities to hike and bike.
  • We love Croatia’s natural beauty – it’s one of the most stunning locations in Europe. The rugged Dinaric Range mountains are framed with some of the clearest waters we’ve seen, sparkling a beautiful cobalt blue. On your travels you’ll also discover cascading waterfalls and jaw-dropping river canyons, and limestone karsts jutting out of the water. Further inland, the islands are blessed with rolling farmland, thick forest and luscious hillsides.
