The Great House is a beautiful space to escape and enjoy rest and relaxation. Surrounded by 26-acres of tropical estate and set in a 350-year-old plantation house, this is a historic property ideal for those who want a more exclusive experience of Antigua’s northeast coast.
Most of the suites are set in the historic house, featuring gorgeous views and original features to add to the charm. For a more modern take, why not choose one of the Garden Cottage Suites, each with their own private veranda with a hammock.
Days here are spent simply unwinding. Relax by the swimming pool, enjoy a beauty treatment, or even enjoy a leisurely bush hike.

This 350-year-old plantation house turned boutique retreat is located on the 26-acre Mercers Creek estate. Overlooking its own bay, it’s a great location for enjoying the beauty of Antigua’s northeast coast.
Due to the Hotel topography and physical location of activities, The Great House Antigua is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with disabilities.
The beach area and waterfront is a six minute walk from the main hotel building where you can relaz by Mercers Creek. The closest full beach is Long Bay Beach, approximately 8km away (15 min drive)
V.C Bird International Airport is around 30 minutes from your resort.
The Capital, St Johns, is 15km away - approximately 25 minutes drive
Pineapple Suite – Situated in the historic house, this room has private use of the adjacent bathroom, and a shower looking out onto the Chinese Garden. A short cut through the Relaxation Room will take you straight to the lower gardens and pool. Features two single four poster size beds. Sleeps two guests.
Royal Suite – Located in the historic house, this spacious suite features many of the house’s original features, plus a four-poster bed centre stage. Sleeps two guests.
French Suite – Situated in the historic house, this large room has double doors opening out onto the gardens, plus a wrought-iron four-poster bed, writing desk and book shelf that date back to the 1800s. Sleeps two guests.
Dukes Suite/Honeymoon Suite – located in the historic house, this spacious room features a king-size four-poster bed. Sleeps two guests

Garden Cottage Suites – These suites are in the gardens, featuring a private veranda and hammock, a super king-size bed, plus a marble bathroom with his and her walk-in rainfall showers. Sleeps two guests.
Please note all rooms except the Pineapple Suite include King or Double Beds. The Pineapple Suite is the only room with twin bedding.
There is one restaurant where all meals are freshly prepared and tailored to suit guests tastes and requirements.
The majority of ingredients are grown on the island, and some fresh produce is grown on the land of The Great House.
Breakfast and lunch are served al fresco in the grounds, and dinner is served indoors in the candlelit Plantation House dining room.
Breakfast is served from 8-10am, Lunch from 12.30-2pm and dinner from 7-8.30pm (last seating)
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available daily at the pool bar and the Great House bar in the evening.
Wine, beer and spirits are available for purchase. All alcoholic drinks are payable at the end of guests stay.
