Flight and transfers
Once you’re in Malaysia, Cameron Highlands is accessible by roads – you can either take a coach, bus, shuttle minivan or taxi.
Irish passport holders do not require a visa to enter the country.
Malay is the official language although plenty of people speak reasonable English.
It’s possible to walk around some of the major parts of the Highlands but if you’d rather save time there are plenty of other methods of getting around. There are taxis and buses, as well as the option to rent a car or a motorbike (providing you have a licence).
The ringgit is the official currency.
