Days 1 - 4

Khao Lak

Let the stresses of every day life melt away, as you spend the first four nights of your holiday in the fabulous beach resort of Khao Lak Merlin. Quiet and unassuming, it’s perfect for a tranquil beach holiday in the sun and is hard to beat.

Day 5

Elephant Hills, Khao Sok National Park

After breakfast you will be picked up and taken into the heart of the Khao Sok National Park to the Elephant Camp. Your home for the next three nights is a luxury tent with double bed and en suite facilities in the heart of the rainforest.

Over the course of the next four days you will enjoy a whole host of once-in-a-lifetime activities. This afternoon you'll enjoy a canoe safari down the Sok river (don't worry an oarsman will do all the hard work) and see some of the natural wildlife, stunning scenery and local river village life. You'll also get a chance to interact with the adorable resident elephants, learn all about the conservation of these majestic creatures and get a chance to help prepare their food. Afterwards return to camp where you can take a dip in pool, watch a cookery demonstration or learn more about animal conservation from any of the staff.

Day 6

Elephant Hills, Khao Sok National Park

Today you'll head to Thailand's west coast to explore a fascinating maze of mangrove waterways by speedboat, keeping an eye out for native wildlife and colourful birdlife along the way. You'll then board a traditional Burmese junk for lunch before setting off on a peaceful canoe trip through the secluded mangrove creeks, where the unspoilt scenery offers a glimpse into a world that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. Afterwards, you'll return to the camp to relax and enjoy the tranquil rainforest surroundings. Each evening there are movies, cooking demonstrations and dance performance.

Day 7

Elephant Hills, Cheow Larn Lake

After breakfast you'll go sightseeing on a traditional longtail boat on Cheow Larn Lake. Stopping at Elephant Hills Lake Camp you'll enjoy a delicious lunch, and have time to enjoy paddling yourself around the surrounding waterways, returning to Elephant Camp late afternoon.

Days 8 -12

Khao Lak

This morning you can choose to join the guides on a jungle walk through the rainforest or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Elephant Hills before your transfer back to Khao Lak.

Returning to the beautiful Khaolak Merlin Resort for the final five nights of your holiday, you'll have plenty of time to unwind on the beach, lounge by one of the resort's lagoon-style pools or indulge in a soothing spa treatment. If you're feeling more adventurous, Khao Lak is also the perfect base for exploring the surrounding coastline, local markets and nearby national parks.
