Overview
Perched on a gorgeous hillside in south-western St Lucia, Jade Mountain is world-famous for its spellbinding views overlooking the towering Pitons and the azure expanse of the Caribbean Sea. Built above its sister resort Anse Chastanet, the unique architecture blends perfectly with St Lucia’s natural beauty providing a holiday experience like no other.
There are just 29 rooms – referred to as ‘sanctuaries’ – all built open-style without their fourth wall, benefiting from the cooling ocean winds. Most have luxurious infinity pools decorated in iridescent blue tiles and boasting mesmerising views over the Pitons. The accommodation is truly special.
You won’t find any TVs, telephones or radios on the property – even Wi-Fi is only available if you request it. The emphasis is on a secluded and romantic feel, taking advantage of the dreamy location and adding lovely touches like the koi ponds flowing through the grounds.
The food here is exceptional, with elegant Caribbean-influenced offerings at Jade Mountain Club, which is exclusive to guests at the resort. Alternatively you are welcomed to use any of the great restaurants at Anse Chastanet including the delightful vegetarian restaurant Emeralds and fusion Indian cuisine of Aspara.
At the bottom of the hill you’ll find a large sandy beach, which offers exceptional snorkelling, unrivalled in St Lucia. It’s also a great place to chill out and sunbathe, or sample a cocktail at the bar.

Each of the 24 infinity pool sanctuaries at Jade Mountain is a carefully designed, individual work of art and architecture. All of the sanctuaries celebrate an unparalleled view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. In all of the sanctuaries, the 4th wall is open to the views while at the same time allowing for complete privacy. Expect grand sweeping spaces where bedroom, living area and the extravagant private infinity pool glide into one another to form extraordinary platforms floating out into nature. All sanctuaries feature 15ft high ceilings and have the 4th wall open to the views. All other aspects, layout and size vary from sanctuary to sanctuary. In addition to locally made fine tropical wood furniture an eclectic collection of furniture has been placed in the sanctuaries giving each one of them their own individualistic ambiance.
The living areas of the rooms are finished with more than 20 different species of tropical hardwood flooring and trims harvested in an environmentally correct way. Jade Mountain's builders actually visited the Rain Forest of Guyana and personally chose which trees to be used. A multitude of hardwoods has been used including Purpleheart, Greenheart, Locust, Kabukali, Snakewood, Bloodwood, Etikburabali, Futukbali, Taurino, Mora and Cabbage Wood. Bathrooms feature chromatherapy whirlpool tubs designed to be enjoyed by one or two persons -tubs are mounted on a pedestal allowing best possible panoramic views whilst bathing. Each sanctuary has a shower tower with a rain shower, 6 body sprays, adjustable heights and separate hand shower. Enjoy Molton Brown Body Remedies guest amenites exclusive to Jade Mountain in Saint Lucia, Frette bathrobes, slippers and Frette towels.
