Lively, friendly and verdant

Corfu is undeniably a fun place to be. Visit most beaches and you’ll be met with stunning azure lagoons and golden sands, dotted with cosy tavernas and host to an array of water sports – especially the ever popular and family-friendly beach resort, Sidari. The locals are friendly and they love evenings filled with merriment, so don’t be surprised to find yourself joining in with the joyful Greek dancing or trying a sip of punchy ouzo at the end of the night.

We have a handful of luxurious hotels that offer some of the best views of Corfu’s coastline. Spend some time relaxing by the pool and dining on deliciously fresh salads topped with a slab of feta, and then take the time to discover Corfu’s more naturally beautiful side. Verdant family-owned olive groves offer fantastic tours and tasting menus, whilst barely touched Ermitis offers enchanting lakes and beaches.

Why visit Corfu?

  • You wouldn’t automatically think it, but Corfu offers fascinating culture as well as great bars and gorgeous beaches. Venture to the charismatic Old Town to discover the varying cultures that influence the island, including Sicilian, French, Venetian and even British heritage. Your afternoon can be spent explore the Old Citadel and New Fort.
  • The landscape here is lush, and Corfu boasts some of our favourite scenes. More than two million olive trees adorn the island, and there are plenty of beautiful beaches for you to discover. If you’re looking for the lively side of Corfu, head to Sidari to enjoy water sports, explore the local shops and spend some time in the bars. In the mood for somewhere quieter? Take a trip to stunning Avlaki, a secluded bay with just two tavernas and soft sands.
  • The locals in Corfu are very sociable, and at most restaurants and hotels you’ll find yourself joining in with their revelry. After a relaxing day soaking up the sun, you can live like a true Greek and enjoy a smooth glass of wine up on a scenic terrace with newfound friends. The perfect way to end a night is with a swift sip of ouzo – yamas (cheers)!
  • Of course, Greek food is well-known, but every island has its own delicious delicacies. In Corfu, it’s succulent sofrito – thin slices of veal lightly fried and paired with parsley, garlic and white wine vinegar, and pastitsada – chicken or veal cooked in red wine, garlic, cinnamon and fresh tomato, enjoyed with macaroni and topped with salty kefalotyri cheese. Enjoy these alongside Corfu’s wild greens and you’ve got yourself a classic feast.
