Flight and Transfers
Direct flights to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport take approximately 9 hours 30 minutes. If you’ve booked accommodation with us, a Tropical Sky representative will meet you on arrival and guide you to your transfer vehicle.
No visa is currently required for Irish passport holders. You should re-check this on booking in case of any changes. Irish Citizens travelling to the Bahamas require a full Irish Passport which must be valid for 6 months after departure from this country. All children and infants must also have their own passports.
English is the official language of the Bahamas, although most will speak it with a rather strong accent.
If you’d like to get away from the resort you’ll find any number of boats to serve any of the populated islands. Taxis are expensive and buses are quite limited.
The official currency is the Bahamian dollar. US dollars are widely accepted at par.
Normally 120V, though some locations use 220V.
