Day 1 - 3
On arrival you will be transferred to Porini Amboseli Camp – located in the Amboseli eco-system within the Selenkay Conservancy, your home for the next 2 nights.
The 9 traditional tents are set among the shady Acacia Tortilis trees. They are made from canvas and have a veranda area with chairs and a small table. They have solar electric lights and there is ample storage and hanging space and a dressing table. Each tent has en-suite facilities which is accessed via a flap at the back of the tent. The bathroom consists of a flush toilet, wash basin with mirror and a classic bucket shower. This is real camping in the bush. Dinner is taken in the communal area and there is nothing nicer than finishing off your evening sitting around the campfire, listening to the sounds of the African night reminiscing about your sightings of the day.
Game drives here take place both in Selenkay Conservancy and in Amboseli National Park and are done in specially designed open-sided Landcruisers, giving you ample opportunity to spot animals such as lion, rhino, buffalo, elephant, cheetah, spotted hyena, zebra and giraffe. There are no minibuses or other vehicles allowed on the Conservancy allowing guests a truly private game experience. On your evening game drive you will enjoy a sundowner with the most spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
For something a little different we recommend you take a walk with one of the Maasai warriors while they teach you about the various indigenous animals and plants used by the community. You can even visit the local Maasai village to experience the traditional Maasai village life.
Overnight: Porini Amboseli Camp
Day 3 – 6
After your early morning game drive it is time to leave Amboseli and head off to the Mara.
On arrival into the Masai Mara you will be transferred to Porini Mara Camp which is situated in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Serengeti-Mara eco-system. You will spend the next 3 nights in this stunning area.
The 6 tents here are similar to those in Amboseli.
You will have time for a delicious lunch before heading off in your open sided 4x4 vehicle on your afternoon game drive exploring the conservancy, ending of course with a sun downer.
During your stay you will enjoy a full day in the Maasai Mara where you are in for a real treat spotting the big cats that the Mara is famous for. A picnic lunch is provided and you will finish with a sundowner before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight.
You will have the chance for an escorted walk with one of the knowledgeable Maasai guides as well as the excitement of a night game drive.

Day 6 – 8
Today you say goodbye to Kenya and hello to Tanzania, the next part of your African adventure.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to Nimali Central Serengeti. Set in the heart of the Serengeti plains in northern Tanzania, part of the Serengeti-Mara eco-system, this intimate camp offers seclusion in the heart of the National Park.
You will have 2 nights here to explore one of the most renowned wildlife parks in the world.
The Serengeti is of course famous for the migration, but with the sheer numbers of wildlife in the park, you are able to enjoy fantastic encounters at any time of the year.
Nimali is perfectly situated on the path of the migratory route in a quiet spot with endless views over the hills and plains of the National Park. There are just 8 authentic en-suite tents each combining modern furnishings with the feeling of adventure from a bygone era. Each has a verandah, a fan and windows with mesh to allow air to circulate during the heat of the day.
We love the open fire area located under the acacia tree which is lit up with lanterns hanging from each branch. The perfect place to relax after dinner.
As well as morning and evening game drives (with sundowner) you have the chance of taking a hot air balloon (at extra cost). This will be done at sunrise and allows you the most spectacular views of the endless plains and the wildlife that live there. After the flight you will be served a hot bush breakfast.
Overnight: Nimali Central Serengeti
Day 8 -9
Today you travel to Ngorongoro where you will spend the night at Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp. With its’ ideal location in the ancient acacia forest right on the rim of the crater, this beautiful camp has the advantage of easy access to the crater floor. This gives guests at Lemala an hour’s head start over others heading to the crater floor in the mornings. The Ngorongoro is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley with the crater being its focal point. A tremendous variety of wildlife is found here for you to enjoy.
The 9 canvas tents have two queen beds with winter weight duvets and hot water bottles and are warmed in the evenings by a gas heater so you are assured of a cosy night’s sleep. Bathrooms have flush toilet, running water and hot showers.
We particularly love the mess tent here with its’ grand sofas, lamps, bookshelves, chests and rugs. The campfire really is the centre piece and an ideal place to sit after dinner and exchange tales of the day’s sightings.

Day 9 – 10
Your final stop on this amazing safari is Tarangire National Park. The park is dominated by the Tarangire River which provides permanent water for wildlife in the area. Large herds of elephants are frequently seen here as well as lion, leopard, hyena and buffalo. The birdlife here is superb with more than 550 species in the area.
Your accommodation is at the intimate Nimali Tarangire Camp. Just 10 airy canvas tents on slightly raised decking with beautiful views over the river bed. Furnishings in the tents offer a sense of exploration with a large, leather strapped travelling chest, writing desk and charming four poster beds. The bathrooms have a flush toilet, double vanity basin and revitalizing rain shower. There is a deck with chairs and a small table. An ideal place to sit with a coffee in the morning and watch the elephants enjoying breakfast on the other side of the bank. You can also take private dining here as well as in-tent spa treatments.
Apart from your morning and afternoon game drives, there is so much to do here. Walking safaris, hot air ballooning, day trips to Lake Manyara and night game drives to name but a few. (some at additional cost)
Depending on the weather you can add a touch of magic to your last two nights by taking a bush dinner with romantic candle light under the beautiful African stars.
