Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage spans over 1,200 years. It is the birthplace of many key aspects of Japanese tradition, from the iconic “machiya” wooden townhouses to the annual Gion Matsuri festival and the cultural presence of geisha in the Hanamachi district. Statues of Jizo, the guardian deity of children and travellers, are found throughout the city.

Day 5

The Sky Hop Bus Kyoto is a double-decker, open-top bus that lets you hop on and off at various sightseeing spots throughout the city. With unreserved seating and the freedom to explore as many attractions as you wish within the ticket’s validity, it operates daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Kyoto to Osaka on the Bullet Train
Today take the short ride to Osaka.
Osaka is a vibrant city known for its rich history, beautiful scenery, and central location near Kyoto, Nara, and just a few hours by bullet train from Tokyo. Divided into Kita, a business and shopping district, and Minami, the heart of its entertainment scene, Osaka is home to major attractions like the restored Osaka Castle and its remarkable aquarium. The city offers striking modern architecture, a lively nightlife in Dotonbori, and delicious local cuisine. Just outside the city, Minoo provides serene woodland, a waterfall, and hiking trails. Osaka blends historical, cultural, and modern experiences, making it a dynamic destination.
