Day 1
Beijing
Arrive in Beijing Daxing or Capital airport, where you will be met in the arrival hall by your local guide. Transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.
Day 2
Beijing
Today, you will explore Tiananmen Square and the incredible Forbidden City. Wander through narrow valleys in the hutongs and learn about life in the area.
Later on, visit the Temple of Heaven, a unique example of Ming architecture set in a 267-hectare park. Dinner this evening will be a traditional meal of Peking duck.

Day 3
The Great Wall
Today, visit China’s most famous sight – the Great Wall. Take in the scenery on your ascent via chairlift or cable car before walking along the ancient stones and taking in the sheer scale of one of the new 7 wonders of the world.
After this, visit a jade factory and learn more about this precious stone and the fortune it brings to those who wear it. The afternoon will be spent exploring the stunning landscapes of the Summer Palace and its magnificent architecture.

Day 4
Xian
Take a bullet train to China’s former ancient capital – Xian. Discover Xian Museum and gain an insight into the city’s heritage before an evening to explore at leisure.

Day 5
Xian
In the morning, visit the incredible Terracotta Army and its ranks of life-sized warriors and horses. You will also visit the workshop in which smaller versions of the warriors are created and take a walk along Xian’s city walls.
Next, wander the winding streets of the Muslim Quarter with a walking tour to learn more about the city’s culture. The evening entertainment includes a Tang Dynasty dancing show and a dumpling feast.

Day 6
Yangtze River Cruise
Fly to Yichang and board your Yangtze River cruise vessel for the next few days.

Day 7-9
Yangtze River Cruise
Start at the impressive Three Gorges Dam and cruise upstream, taking in the diverse landscapes as you journey to the Three Gorges. Enjoy a variety of shore excursions and a trip along the Shennong or Goddess streams.

Day 10
Chongqing Panda House
Disembark in Chongqing, where you will visit Chongqing Zoo’s Panda House before taking the bullet train to Guilin.

Day 11
Li River Cruise
Enjoy a scenic cruise along the Li River to Yangshuo. Take in views of jagged karst peaks and lush greenery – you may even spot grazing buffalo and local fishermen.

Day 12
Yangshuo
Situated in a stunning rural landscape surrounded by paddy fields and limestone karsts, Yangshuo offers the perfect glimpse into rural China. Explore the countryside in the morning before heading back to Guilin, where you will see the incredible Reed Flute Cave and then stop for a photo opportunity with a cormorant fisherman.
The day comes to a close with a stroll around Ronghu Lake, where you will marvel at the Sun and Moon pagodas.

Day 13
Shanghai
Fly to the city of Shanghai and enjoy time at leisure to start exploring.

Day 14
Shanghai
Explore the enchanting Yu Garden, wander through the historic old town, and experience the vibrant Xintiandi precinct and modern Pudong district. Visit a traditional silk factory before taking a leisurely walk along the Bund to admire its colonial architecture. In the evening, enjoy panoramic views of the city on a scenic cruise along the Huangpu River.

Depart
