A chance to see more of Bali - Ubud with its artist community, the volcano of Mount Batur the vivid green paddy field interior and some wonderful villages temples and Balinese sites.
Day 1
Saturday. Leave UK and fly overnight to Bali
Day 2
Sunday. Arrive in Bali and transfer to your hotel Melia Bali
Day 3
Monday Cross country to Ubud
Leave to visit Batubulan village to see a performance of the Barong and Kris dance, Drive on to see a number of “artisan” villages- Celuk is famous for its silver and gold jewellery, Mas for wood carving, Ubud for traditional & modern painting. Another highlight is sunset in Petulu village where thousands of herons return to their resident ponds at sunset. Overnight in Ubud hotel on half board.
Day 4
Tuesday Ubud – Candidasa
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the east of Ubud to the 11th century Goa Gajah ( Elephant cave ) -a mysterious start to the day. Then stop at Kerta Gosa which is a traditional justice hall in Klungkung regent.
Continue eastwards to the foot of the volcano, Mt Agung. Here you visit the mother temple of Bali “Besakih“. Drive onwards to visit the Bali Aga village of Tenganan where a traditional Bali lifestyle is preserved; the ikat cloth and basket weaving are among the finest to found anywhere, Arrive late afternoon at the beach resort of Candidasa for one night stay. Dinner at Hotel
Day 5
Wednesday Candidasa – Lovina
Drive to Lovina pass through Bat Cave temple and Kusamaba village where there are salt farms, Stop and admire Mt Batur dramatically from the rim of the crater, surrounded by the Batur Lake and black lava flow, a truely marvellous site. Continue on to Lovina for an overnight stay. Dinner at Hotel.
Day 6
Thursday Lovina – Sanur
Early this morning watch for dolphins and after breakfast, heading south first stopping at Gitgit waterfalls and then Lake Bratan to see the Ulun Danu Temple, a Hindhu/Buddhist temple dedicated to the goddess of the waters. This area is known for the flower, vegetable and fruit market at Candikuning, Lunch is taken at Pacung Rest overlooking the vivid green terraced rice fields (lunch not included) The final treat of your tour is the sunset over the mystical 17th century temple on the rock at Tanah Lot. Transfer to the Melia Bali

Friday Melia Bali
Relax on the beach
