Overview

The Hotel Illa d’Or was founded in 1929 and since then has adapted and reinvented itself to stay up to date with modern conveniences and comforts, all the while maintaining its traditional charm and character. Located just a short walk from the popular town of Puerto Pollenca, the hotel has its own private jetty overlooking the clear waters of the beautiful Bay of Pollenca on one side and the majestic Tramuntana Mountain range of the other. The walk into the town is along the ‘Pine Walk’, shaded by 100 year old pine trees and perfect for a stroll to the Yacht Club where you will find a selection of watersports available including windsurfing, snorkelling, diving, dinghy sailing, fishing and kayaking amongst others.

The hotel enjoys two swimming pools, a selection of fitness amenities and a good selection of dining options as well as the Vital Illa d’Or Wellness & Spa for complete relaxation. There is also the opportunity to take advantage of the free bicycle hire to make the most of the picturesque surroundings and activities that can be accessed in and around the mountains.

We love the Gin & Tonic Corner with its expansive terraces looking out onto the bay which is perfect for an evening drink before eating in one of the hotel restaurants or heading into town to sample one of the many excellent restaurants around the town square or harbour.

  • Individual – 12-15sqm, sleeping up to one adult.
  • Standard – 20-25sqm, sleeps up to two adults. Some have a balcony.
  • Double Room Seaview – Average 20-25sqm; with views over the Bay of Pollença.
  • Double Room Seaview with Balcony – Featuring a seaview and balcony; sleeps up to two adults.
  • Suite – Featuring an entrance hall, bedroom, terrace, dressing room, separate toilet and hydro massage bath.

  • Restaurant 1929 – serving a full buffet breakfast with a show cooking area, diet corner, island specialities and much more. During the warmer months and weather permitting, you can have your breakfast on the front terrace overlooking the bay. With an extensive menu that changes every 2 nights and including a variety of foods. Specially adapted menus for vegetarians, gluten intolerance diets and diabetics are also available. DRESS CODE: Gentlemen are not permitted to wear shorts or t-shirts at dinner.
  • La Terrassa – outdoor restaurant by the sea and open for lunch on the terrace from 12pm and for à la carte dinner serving a variety of Mediterranean dishes and an extensive wine selection. Please note: La Terrassa is closed during winter months.
  • Sunset Illa d’Or – serving a wide selection of drinks including cocktails and overlooking the Bay of Pollensa.

Offering a wide selection of beauty and massage treatments and a newly extended treatment list, the spa adds new beauty and relaxation rituals to traditional massages, as well as an osteopathy service and comprehensive nutritional consultation. The spa also includes different types of water jets, hydro-massage beds, showers, sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain and a relaxation area with hammocks. A hair and make-up service is also available.

The SPA is open from 8am – 8pm and the Vital Illa d'Or is open from 10am-7pm (7 days a week)
