Algarve Holidays

Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region, is naturally stunning. Striking terracotta cliffs frame wild, sandy coves, and it’s a destination where you are never too far from the ocean. Less developed areas offer solitude and relaxation, whilst the other side of Algarve offers charming fishing villages and Michelin star cuisine.

Portugal's southernmost region is full of charm

Algarve is renowned for its beautiful beaches and nature reserves. Over 100 miles of gorgeous coastline frames the region, and the lifestyle here is all about sinking your toes in the golden sand as often as possible. The lesser known beaches lend themselves to wicked surfing, whilst the picturesque barrier islands of Parque Natural da Ria Formosa have a multitude of birdlife flocking to its quiet landscape. Spend your days snorkelling, enjoying picnics on the beach and exploring the lovely fishing towns and you’ll have spent your time in Algarve well.

Why visit Algarve?

·         Whether you want a quiet holiday or something a bit more lively, we can create the ideal holiday for you here. Vilamoura offers a vibrant lifestyle of luxurious yachts, restaurants and bars, whilst the rolling hinterland boasts charming castle towns and villages adorned with whitewashed buildings. Flop by the beach for an afternoon, or grab your boots and stroll the Algarviana hiking trail.

·         The wonderful culture is steeped in Moorish history and nautical heritage. Wander to Porches and you’ll find a colourful art scene, family run cafes and a popular beach, and all over the region you’ll come accustomed to the charming whitewashed houses that sit along the coastline and hills. The Moorish architecture is unique, with intricate terraces and chimneys, and there are quaint churches and mansions to explore.

·         The food, as with the rest of Portugal, is phenomenal. It’s not surprising that the seafood is delicious here, caught fresh from the sea and finding its way onto your plate in the same day. Treat yourself to succulent clams, or stop by a family-run café during the day for petiscos de taberna – a selection of tapas-style cured meats and seafood.

·         Algarve is big on golf, and is home to a number of luxurious golf courses. We can give you recommendations on where to stay if practicing your swing is high on your list for your European holiday.
