Baia del Capitano is a charming four-star resort nestled in Mazzaforno Bay, just a short distance from the historic town of Cefalù, on the northern coast of Sicily. The name translates to “Captain’s Bay,” and the property lives up to its romantic title with a blend of natural beauty, family-friendly amenities, and laid-back Mediterranean charm. Surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean flora, the hotel is designed to offer a peaceful, authentic Sicilian experience.

The hotel’s location is one of its most distinctive features. Guests have direct access to a scenic rocky shoreline via a staircase, offering breathtaking sea views and a quiet spot for sunbathing or reading a good book. For those looking for a more traditional beach experience, Baia del Capitano also provides access to a golden sandy beach located about 500 metres away. This private stretch of coastline is fully equipped with loungers, umbrellas, and a beach bar. A vintage-style three-wheeled shuttle, the “Calessino,” is available during the summer months to transport guests comfortably between the resort and the beach.
