Palazzo del Garda

Located on the southern banks of the Lake Garda Desenzano is a village of considerable charm and a rich artistic, historic and archaeological heritage, dating back to the Roman era. At the heart of Desenzano is Piazza Malvezzi and also the ancient harbour. There are some notable Roman ruins, not least a stunning 4th century Roman Villa with beautiful mosaics and a medieval castle offering breathtaking views of the Lake.

The hotel offers an excellent buffet breakfast each morning, with numerous continental options available, whilst eggs and omelettes can be cooked to your order. In the evening, we highly recommend popping into the village of Desenzano to choose a local restaurant of your choice.

Please note: there is a steep hill up to the hotel, so not recommended for those with reduced mobility.

A mandatory tourism tax (imposta di soggiorno) may apply to stays in Italy. The rates applicable to Lake Garda typically range from approx. €1.50 to approx. €4 per person per night, up to a maximum of 14 nights. Children under 14 yrs are exempt. The tax is paid locally and is subject to change. This rate varies by municipality, accommodation category, season and, in some cases, length of stay. Additional rates may be applicable if you are staying in other areas throughout Italy.
