Set on the Platinum Coast on the west of Barbados, Mango Bay is a fantastic resort for relaxed couples holidays and fun family getaways. It is ideally located, 45 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from the capital city, Bridgetown.

The restaurant serves up a lovely blend of international and Caribbean cuisine – sit out on the patio for impressive ocean views. Barbados Room Rate Levy
Please note that a mandatory government ‘Room Rate Levy’ must be applied nightly to all hotel guests staying on the island. The tax will either be applied to your hotel room account at check-in or may be included in your overall holiday cost, depending on the hotel (this will be confirmed to you when you book your holiday with us). The amount varies from BBD$8.75 (approx. US$4.50) to BBD$35.00 (approx.  US$17.50) per bedroom per night according to the classification of the property in question. Please note that this levy is not optional and is subject to change.

  • Standard Rooms offer garden and/or front of hotel views. Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults & 1 child 12 years and under. The high floor rooms in this block are only accessible by stairs. Standard room size is 400 sq ft.  ** Due to location next to 1st & 2nd streets, it is possible to hear street noise from these rooms.
  • One Bedroom Standard Apartment - offer access to a separate pool and feature a separate living/dining area, with garden views. Please note: not all one bedroom Standard Suites have air conditioning in the living room area. These rooms are situated in the Palm Beach Condominium Block, south of the restaurant. This block comprises privately owned units of which six are currently managed by Mango Bay. This block of rooms has a separate pool, which may be used by guests of Mango Bay who are registered in one of these six units. The upper floor rooms in this two-storey building are only accessible by stairs, as there is no elevator in this block. Please note that each apartment is furnished differently.  Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults &3 children 12 years and under. Standard one bedroom size is 550 sq ft.
  • Superior Rooms - These rooms are found in the main building on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors overlooking the pool and/or the gardens. The upper floor rooms can be accessed either via the stairs or the elevator. Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children 12 years and under. Superior room size is 430 sq ft.
  • Deluxe Rooms -  These rooms offer pool/ garden and/or panoramic views. Upper floor rooms can be accessed either via the stairs or the elevator.  Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children 12 years and under. Deluxe room size is 430 sq ft. These rooms also have a mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks and water
  • Ocean Front Rooms - These rooms are situated on the west end of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the main building and are parallel to the beach, offering full frontal ocean views. Upper floor rooms can be accessed either via the stairs or the elevator. Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children 12 years and under. Ocean front room size is 430 sq ft and these rooms also come with a small fridge
  • Penthouse Suites.  Additional flacilities include a double jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower,  plasma television (cable), mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks and water, cold plunge pool on patio. The two Penthouse Suites are located on the west end of the 4th floor of the main building of the hotel.  These wrap-around suites are glass enclosed on two sides, feature a separate living area and offer panoramic ocean
    views. These rooms can be accessed either via the stairs or the elevator.  Maximum number of guests are 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children - no children under the age of 13. Penthouse room size is 1200 sq ft.

  • Julians Restaurant - All meals are served in the hotel’s beachside restaurant and include table d’hote menus as well as barbecues and buffets Indoor and outdoor seating is available for dining

 

DRESS CODE

In the summer months (May – November), the evening dress code is smart casual which means that gentlemen may wear smart tailored dress shorts and short sleeved shirts (polo shirts are allowed). Please note that no sports replica shirts or club branded merchandise are allowed at dinner. Smart jeans are
allowed. No flip flops or trainers are allowed in the evening in the restaurant.   Cover-ups are required in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Footwear is
required in the restaurant at all times.

From December through to April the evening dress code is elegantly casual which means full length trousers for gentlemen and shirts with sleeves, stylish jeans are acceptable. Ladies may not wear shorts to dinner at this time of year either.  The exception is BBQ Night where the smart casual dress code is applicable.
 

Cover-ups are required in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch and footwear is required in the restaurant at all times.

Please note that whilst the dress code is more relaxed than it has been in the past, there are some occasions where long trousers and shirt sleeves will be more appropriate or compulsory for gentlemen so we would highly recommend still packing some!

Whilst Mango Bay does not offer a Kids Club facility, the Guest Services team run a variety of activities  to help keep younger guests entertained at various times during the day.  This provision will be dependent on the number of children staying at the resort.
Activities may include arts & crafts, tie-dye activities, jewelry making, cookie and cup cake making, paper boat making & race, kids mixology, Connect 4, Jenga, charades, Pictionary, colouring, pool hunt, pool chase, water walking challenge, sand castle building, water balloon challenges, beach and scenic walks

Seasonal activities are also available:

- At Easter: Easter Mask making, Easter egg and Easter cookies decorating, scavenger hunts, Easter garland making and Easter Movies

- At Cropover: Mask and costume making and a kids fashion show to model what has been made

- At Christmas: Christmas Movie Night, Christmas tree making, Christmas tree decorating and a Photo opp with Santa & his elf, ice cream sundae making and scavenger hunts

Teenage activities include beach cricket, beach football, catch it, dancercise, pool therapy, yoga, mixology, sip & paint, bingo, family quiz, kayaking & paddleboarding, paddle racket and beach walks
