Weddings at Young Island

Weddings from €1490 7 nights All Inclusive from €2,139 per Person Including Flights

Overview

Young Island offers an authentic castaway feel with a paradise setting; white sugary sands lapped by the azure waters of the sparkling Caribbean Sea, pockets of luscious tropical foliage tucked around a beautiful lagoon swimming pool, and luxurious, rustic cottages nestled into the gorgeous hillside.

Weddings here are simply incredible – with the help of a wedding coordinator, you can create a personalised menu, plan offsite tours and activities and choose the accommodation for your family and friends attending. You won’t need to worry about the smaller details either, the planner can arrange your photographer, flowers, music and more so you can fully relax without a single worry. There are several breath-taking spots to pronounce your vows, whether it’s a sublime barefoot wedding on the beach, an intimate garden ceremony canopied by floral blossoms, or a blissful sunset ceremony followed by cocktails under a twilight sky.

Our Classic Wedding package features a selection of traditional touches for your ceremony, such as a bridal bouquet, grooms boutonnière, a hand-woven wedding arch and professional photographer, as well as a number of luxury treats including two bottles of champagne and hors d’oeuvres for the newlyweds, an elegant wedding cake and a night in a luxurious cottage for your wedding night.

The cottages here exude a laid-back island style, decorated with wooden plantation shutters, colourful tropical décor and beach-style furnishings. Whether you choose a charming Superior Cottage set right by the shoreline, or a gorgeous Luxury Suite with its own plunge pool and expansive terrace, you’ll be immersed in the relaxed, barefoot lifestyle.

When you get there

A civil wedding can take place on site at Young Island using the services of the local Registrar.

The wedding couple must be resident on the islands of St Vincent & the Grenadines for a minimum of 24 hours (excluding day of arrival) before the wedding license can be applied for at the Registrar’s office. This office is closed at weekend and public holidays and the wedding couple must apply in person – this procedure usually takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. The wedding can take place as soon as the marriage license has been issued.

Before you travel:

We do not require any documents to be sent in advance

ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU WHEN YOU TRAVEL

Translation of documents

All legal documents must be in English or legally translated into English. All translated documents must be from a legal translator with letterhead, stamp and seal from the translator's office or notarised by a Notary Public.  Occasionally the documentation will have to be sent to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for their approval before being sent back to the notary to sign.

The Wedding Ceremony

In most destinations, your wedding ceremony will be conducted Monday to Friday (excluding local holidays).  In some destinations, local festivals and holidays will determine available wedding dates.  Generally, your wedding will take place in the grounds of the hotel unless otherwise specified.  Many hotels offer wedding gazebos for extra privacy.  Some hotels may offer more than one wedding per day with the first wedding taking place at around 10am with the last wedding at 4pm.  The majority of our weddings are conducted by a marriage officer whose title varies depending on the resort.  Where it is possible to be married by a Minister, the ceremony will be non-denominational unless otherwise stated and will be a Civil wedding.

Tropical Sky Weddings and the information given above only apply to couples:

•        Born in the UK

•        Have a valid UK passport (with some months validity on return home)

If couples do not fulfil these requirements they must advise us.  Couples should be referred to the embassy of the country of origin and the country where they wish to marry as they may require extra documentation to satisfy their own embassy requirements – Tropical Sky cannot advise on this and couples must investigate this on their own.

As Tropical Sky weddings have no jurisdiction over hotels/resorts/venues/legal requirements and their charges, we cannot be responsible for any increases or changes to these wedding arrangements.  We will, however, endeavour to advise you of changes as soon as we are made aware of them.
