Day 1
Calama – San Pedro de Atacama
Arrive into Calama airport and transfer to the unique and remote village of San Pedro de Atacama, located in the driest desert in the world, among the Andes Mountain range – this is an absolute must visit when travelling in Chile! Pass through the Domekyo and Salt Mountain Range.
This afternoon take a trip to Salt Mountain, Death Valley and the spectacular Moon Valley where you’ll spend the late afternoon enjoying the breath-taking sunset over the landscape – a true natural light show with picturesque landscape and a stunning photo opportunity.

Day 2
San Pedro de Atacama
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel this morning before heading out on a full day experience to the Atacama Salt Flat – the largest Salt Flat in Chile and one of the largest in the world! You’ll venture to the Chaza Lagoon where three different species of flamingos live and breed, a beautiful sight. You’ll have the chance to visit the picturesque village of Toconao and admire the Bell Tower constructed in the classical atacamenian way.
Next head on up to the village of Socaire and High Plateau Lagoons of Menique and Miscanti located at 4500 meters above sea level, this area is part of the Flamingos National Reserve, surrounded by impressive volcanoes which formed when the Andes Mountain Range rose from the sea during millions of years of evolution. Stunningly impressive.
Return to San Pedro de Atacama for your overnight stay.
Day 3
San Pedro de Atacama
Rise early and depart at dawn today (4:30am) it will be worth it when you arrive at the Tatio Geysers for a guided walking tour around the geothermal fields with fascinating jet streams shooting up. Spend some free time exploring the Andes Mountain Range with native flora and impressive views of the Putama Volcano and Tocorpuri Mountains. Visit the small desert village of Machuca on your journey back – learn about its typical terrace farming system, the mud houses with straw roof, church and local fauna including llamas, alpacas and flamingos.
You’ll have the remainder of the day at leisure to wander through the lovely streets exploring the local markets or hiring a bike and exploring in the nearby mountain range.
Day 4
San Pedro de Atacama – Calama
Enjoy your final breakfast in the hotel this morning before transferring to the airport for your onwards flight.
