Flight and Transfers

There are no direct flights from Ireland to Reunion. To reach the island you must take a flight via Mauritius with the total flight time lasting approximately 13 hours.

Visa Requirements

Irish passport holders do not require a visa to enter Reunion. However, this should be re-checked on booking as requirements are subject to change. Six months valid passport is required and you must have a return or onward ticket.

Language

French is the official language and outside of the resorts it is very beneficial to have at least a basic grasp of French.

Transportation

Avoid travelling at busy times as traffic jams often occur. Taxis and buses are the best ways to get around if you don’t want to drive yourself.

Currency

As Reunion is technically a part of France, the official currency is the Euro.
