Weddings at Galley Bay Resort & Spa

Weddings from €630 All Inclusive 7 nights from €2,999 per person Including Flights

Overview

If you’re hoping for a quiet and secluded ceremony, this beautiful adult-only retreat offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and a peaceful ambience. Located in a stunning natural bird sanctuary, it’ll be just you and your loved one saying I do to the sound of birdsong and the waves gently lapping against the shore.

There are three ceremony locations to choose from. The beachfront gazebo is a popular choice, beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers and overlooking the golden sands. For a more intimate day, the lush gardens offer a serene space to say your vows, whilst a ceremony on the beach includes wonderful ocean views, a decorated arch, and a lovely aisle made with flower petals.

The resort itself is the embodiment of island-style luxury, with rustic yet charming suites and cottages, a tranquil pool, and an unspoilt location where you’ll regularly see birds swooping overhead. There’s no denying that this is a romantic retreat, perfect for your Antigua wedding.

Galley Bay in Antigua is a perfect place for a romantic and unique wedding at a tropical paradise. Most of our wedding couples select Galley Bay’s decked patio overlooking the sea, while others prefer the wedding gazebo at the far end of the property. Other wedding venues include Ismays Gazebo, Ismays Beach, Gauguin Gazebo, Gauguin Restaurant, The Old Sugar Mill or the garden overlooking the lagoon.

Translation of documents
All legal documents must be in English or legally translated into English. Occasionally the documentation will have to be sent to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for their approval before being sent back to the notary to sign.

The Wedding ceremony
In most destinations, your wedding ceremony will be conducted Monday to Friday (excluding local holidays). In some destinations, local festivals and holidays will determine available wedding dates. Generally, your wedding will take place in the grounds of the hotel unless otherwise specified. Many hotels offer wedding gazebos for extra privacy. Some hotels may offer more than one wedding per day with the first wedding taking place at around 10am and the last wedding about 4pm. The majority of weddings are conducted by a marriage officer whose title varies depending on the resort. Where it is possible to be married by a minister, the ceremony will be non-denominational unless otherwise stated and will be a civil wedding.

The information given above only apply to couples:

  • who are born in the UK
  • with a valid 10 year UK/Irish passport, valid for at least six months beyond the proposed stay.

If couples do not fulfil these requirements they must advise us. Couples should be referred to the embassy of the country of origin and the country where they wish to marry as they may require extra documentation to satisfy their own embassy requirements. Tropical Sky cannot advise on this and couples must investigate this on their own.

As Tropical Sky have no jurisdiction over hotels/resorts/venues/legal requirements and their charges, we cannot be responsible for any increases or changes to these wedding arrangements. We will, however, endeavour to advise you of changes as soon as we are made aware of them.
