DAY 1

Monday Leave the UK on your overnight flight to Delhi

DAY 2

Tuesday - Arrive Delhi
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon: Half day sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi. In New Delhi, visit the Qutab Minar, Mughal Emperor Humayun’s Tomb. India Gate and the Parliament House. In Old Delhi see the Red Fort, Raj Ghat – the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi & Jama Masjid.

DAY 3

Wednesday – Delhi - Agra
Transfer to railway station to board train Shatabdi Express for Agra – 0600/0755 hrs. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of city visiting Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later, visit Agra Fort with magnificent halls of private and public audiences and other palaces.

DAY 4

Thursday – Agra - Gwalior
Transfer to railway station to board train Shatabdi Express for Gwalior – 0800/0915 hrs. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of city visiting Gujari Mahal, Man Mandir, the Gwalior Fort, Sas-Bahu Temples. Later, visit Scindia Museum at Jai Mahal Palace.

DAY 5

Friday - Gwalior – Jhansi – Khajuraho
Transfer to railway station to board train Shatabdi Express for Jhansi – 1025/1210 hrs. On arrival you will be met, driven to Khajuraho (187 kms or 116 miles / 6 hrs approx) and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 6

Satrurday - Khajuraho – Orchha
Morning: Visit the Western Group of Temples, most important being the Kandariya Mahadeo Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also see the Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple. Later leave Khajuraho by surface for Orchha (170 kms or 105.6 miles / 5 hrs approx) On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later sightseeing tour of Orchha visiting Orchha Palace, Temple and walk around local market. Overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 7

Sunday - Orchha – Jhansi – Bhopal
Transfer to Jhansi railway station to board train Shatabdi Express for Bhopal – 1040/1410 hrs. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of city visiting Taj-ul-Masjid, Jama Masjid, Sadar Manzil and Laxminarayan Temple.

DAY 8

Monday - Bhopal – Sanchi – Udaigiri – Sanchi – Bhopal
Morning: Proceed for full day excursion to Sanchi stupa and Udaigiri Caves.

DAY 9

Tuesday - Bhopal – Bhimbetka – Bhopal – Indore
Morning: Half day excursion to Bhimbetka, where about 700 rock-shelters belonging to the Neolithic age have been discovered. Afternoon: Leave by road for Indore (186 kms/116 miles, approx. 4 hrs). On arrival, check-in at hotel.

DAY 10

Wednesday - Indore – Mandu - Indore
Morning: Half day sightseeing tour of city including a drive past the Old Palace and the New Palace. Visit Manik Bagh and the Lal Bagh which is now converted into a museum displaying furniture collections and other artifacts of the palace and the Kanch Mandir, the Jain Temple. Afternoon: Excursion to Mandu, the “city of joy”. Visit the Royal Enclave Buildings, Jahaz Mahal, Champa Bauli and Ashrafi Mahal.

DAY 11

Thursday - Indore – Omkareshwar – Maheswar - Indore
Full day excursion to Omkareshwar and Maheshwar. Omkareshwar is an Om-shaped island at the confluence of Narmada and Kaveri rivers. Maheshwar Fort and temples are also situated on the banks of the Narmada River.

DAY 12

Friday - Indore – Ujjain – Dewas – Indore – Mumbai
Morning: Excursion to Ujjain visiting the temple of Makaleshwar, Jantar Mantar, Bathing Ghats of Shipra River and the Gopal Mandir. Also visit Dewas to see Pawar Chattries and Dewas Gates. Later, transfer to Indore airport to board flight to Mumbai. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 13

Saturday In Mumbai
Morning: Half day excursion to Elephanta caves. The famous Trimurti sculpture of three-faced Shiva depicting his three aspects as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer is powerfully portrayed in the massive sculpture. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of city visiting the Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Kamala Nehru Park and also Mani Bhawan where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai.

DAY 14

Sunday Leave Mumbai
Transfer to airport for flight home or to onward destination
