Holidays in Anguilla

Anguilla cuisine, from BBQ to pigeon, peas and rice

From relaxed BBQ joints to the most upmarket of restaurants, Anguilla has a surprising diversity of culinary experiences available. Many of the top resorts have great restaurants which you can sample even if you’re not a guest. You’ll also find many eateries run by expats serving Caribbean delights and a wide range of cuisines.

And of course any trip to Anguilla wouldn’t be complete with spending some time hanging out at the beach bars. Sip a rum punch or a beer and enjoy the sunshine and relaxed rhythms of the Caribbean. As afternoon fades to evening, make your way to Sandy Ground where you’ll find many venues and clubs including the iconic Pumphouse which plays reggae into the early hours.

The national dish of Anguilla is pigeon peas and rice, which can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try it.
