The tranquil Tanjung Aru Resort lies on a peaceful 150-metre stretch of white sandy beach, yet is only 10 minutes’ drive from the airport and close to many local attractions and the city centre. It has great restaurants, extensive watersports facilities, pitch and putt golf, a children’s club and spa centre, and is a great base to visit the Kinabalu National Park from, where you can see the famous orangutans.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. We spent four nights here as a stopover on the way to New Zealand. We didn’t want to leave. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

What a great hotel, the staff were so friendly and they were so attentive to all your needs. Would definitely recommend paying to use the Horizon club which they dont always tell you about when you check in. You pay per room and not per person and you get the use of the Horizon lounge, with free soft drinks all day, afternoon tea and then alcohol is served between 5pm and 7pm but you are not rushed to leave and can stay in there until 11pm. I am definitely going back to this hotel.

Wonderful hotel, the staff are fantastic and treat you like family. Try a massage they are amazing. The Tatu restaurant which opened when we stayed in November 05 is wonderful.
